With the exploding use of the internet,
it is very easy to work part time from
home yet earn more money than you did
working full time. However, there are 3
things you need to understand.

Unless you have been in a coma for the
past 18 months, you would have noticed
that the entire world in recession, the

bring up literally millions of search

checked!)

So where do you start?

1. Get into a Winning Mindset

The first step to successfully making
money online is to get into the winning
mindset. I know it sounds corny, but
trust me on this. There is an
over-abundance of information out there,
that it soon starts to get overwhelming.
There are also a lot of misinformed
sceptics moaning about how it's
impossible to be a success online (and
funnily enough they all failed to be a
success themselves).

There are a number of books you can
download for free that will show you how
to get into the right frame of mind. The
most popular ones are the classics
"Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill
and "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen.

2. Do Your Research - Choose A Market
Sector

Once you have digested these books and
have committed yourself to success, do
some research on the what sort of
internet business you want to be
involved in, whether it affiliate
marketing, article writing, ebay, etc.
Just take your time and learn what you
can about each of the various market
sectors. Soon you will come across a
particular internet business or idea
that you are interested in and can be
passionate about.

One of the best ways to ensure that you
have the best possible chance for
success is to try to incorporate your
skills or interests into your chosen
internet business. Use your passion from
something you enjoy from another part of
your life to be driving force behind
your internet business.

3. Choose A Mentor

It has been proven time and time again,
by literally thousands of people, that
it possible to be successful online. The
techniques and strategies that they use
to generate their income have been
proven to work.

So of course it stands to reason,
therefore, that one of the best ways to
be successful in this business is to
align yourself with a person or group
who has achieved the success that you
are aiming for.

Again, you will need to do your
research. Try to find a mentor that is
honest and easily approachable. They
should be easily contactable by phone,
email or skype, and you shouldn not have
any problems finding their names when
you do a Google search.

Do some research on the product or
service they are selling. If you find a
lot of information out there, it means
that there is a lot of demand for it so
it is more than likely worth pursuing.

Be wary of anyone who asks you for money
up front or is doing the hard sell all
the time.

An honest mentor will only ask for your
first name and email address so they can
send you more information or a free
gift. They will usually provide you with
all the information you need to make an
informed decision on whether their
product or service is something you
want.

But like anything, choosing the right
mentor all comes down to a few key
things. Do you like them, can you relate
to them, are they willing to help you
and can they deliver what they are
promising you.

So, that should give you something to
think about if you are considering
getting online to generate some income.

But again, try not to get too
overwhelmed. The key is to keep
persevering. In fact, the main reason
why people fail to make a success online
is simply because they gave up.

You will be surprised how quickly you
will be able to get online and create a
presence for yourself on the internet
and start generating some income. You
never know, one day it may be you that
people are turning to for advice because
of your success!
